A big world in a small package

fullcontactmuseMy world is so big with friends and family on both coasts and in the middle, friends who have moved off to other country on other continents. It is a big, big world. Then something amazing happens: We are reminded just how small and interconnected it is.
Last week, I saw a woman dance who I had not seen in several years but I had seen her name once to twice a week while I working for Katrina at Skin Deep. Sadly, I didn't even recognize her at first it was only after looking at the photos that the Girly Girl took at the hafla.

jennifer_brozek and I are working on. I was giving direction to one of the models and I asked her if she had ever belly danced or seen a belly dancer perform and demonstrated some simple popping and locking for in terms of movement. She had taken classes in belly dancing and recognized me from my time at Skin Deep when she and her mother went there.
It humbles and invigorates me when these happen.
