You might be asking yourself, "What is Debauchery? And why might I want to go to such a show?" 

To quote the Debauchery event page:

Debauchery is queers stripping for queers in hot, anti-oppressive space, raising money for organizations that serve the queer community.

The show features stripteases, tons of audience interaction and even birthday lap dances onstage! Be sure to bring plenty of dollar bills -- a portion of the proceeds goes to non-profits providing health and social services within the queer community.

At our July 18th show, we'll be presenting a Community Fund Grant to Zenyu. Come and celebrate with us!

So that answers the first question. Let me give you the why-you-want-to-go-to-such-a-show...

• Lily Divine (so much awesome in one amazing package)
• Mama Lu-cious (I don't know Mama Lu-cious yet but if Lily Divine picked her out, I'm sure she is going to be amazing!)
• Pidgeon Von Tramp (there is so many wonderful things about Ms. von Tramp that I don't know where to begin)
• Solange Corbeau (smart, sassy, sexy, and fighting for a better world. What's not to like?)
• Tootsie Spangles (truly the sexiest Buffoon in the Buff I know and a total sweetheart)
• Whisper De Corvo (don't mind me, the this tall cool whirlwind of strength and grace has been one of my favorites for a very long time!)

I'm just contemplating my advancing schedule this weekend and thought I would share.

My weekend begins with Lily Divine's Debauchery on Thursday. This is a special show as it celebrates its second anniversary of being in Seattle. The line up is simply amazeballs and includes some of my favorite people! Folks like Candy Apples, Cherry Tart, Miss Kitty Baby, Inga Imgenue, Dahllia Ste. Cyr, EmpeROAR Fabulous!!!, Gema Lusterious, and more! Seriously, this going to be a fun show and you're not going to want to miss this!

Then we dive into the opening weekend of Worlds' End Burlesque Revue: An Evening Inspired by the Works of Neil Gaiman at the Re-Bar for a 4 night run on Friday. If you're looking to spice up summer reading then this is the place to check out with performances by Ivy DuPri, Vixen Valentine, Inara Echo, Morgue Anne, Czech Mate, Penelope Rose, Solange Corbeau, Lana Milk-n-Honey, Candy Apples, Chocolate Saucy, and Kendra Hayes.

On July 30th, my oldest niece, Christy, was driving on U.S. Highway 287 just north of the Colorado-Wyoming border where she hit a patch of wet road after a summer storm. Her Dodge Neon hydroplaned and crossed into oncoming traffic, sliding into a semi. Her injuries were severe enough that she was air lifted to Denver Health for treatment in Colorado.

She is out of the ICU now and in rehabilitation for her severe brain injuries. She still has a long way to go.

Christy wanted to come to Seattle and explore the independent music scene and this thing called burlesque that her crazy aunt did.  

With five weeks in the intensive care unit and ongoing treatment at a hospital specialized in the rehabilitation of brain injuries, her medical bills are going to be staggering.

Oh my goddess! Last night was was School House Strip at the Rendezvous and the show was very good! If you missed the show you missed something wonderful.

Shows like last night are especially rewarding and it reaffirms to me why I love producing burlesque shows.

What do I love about producing burlesq? Many things!

I love the laughter from the audience when they see something. I love it when an audience member hoots and hollers because he or she sees something they like. I love the smiles on people's faces as they exit the theater. I love giving new performers a chance to spread their wings. I love it when those new wings take flight. I love it when seasoned pros show me and the audience what they've got. And love it when everything comes together and we've made magic.

Last night was magic and I am in awe of each my performers and my crew. You were all so very wonderful last night. Thank you for working your collective tushes off and making it amazing.
