Tayissa Blue has been belly dancing for over a decade, getting her start in the Society for Creative Anachronism and progressing through her journey to American Tribal Style and Tribal Fusion. Her desire for a tattoo began at an early age, long before began belly dancing, and acquired her first one when she turned eighteen. As she explored the dance, its influence informed her decisions about new tattoos.

When I was twenty-five, I got my eyeliner tattooed," she tells me. "That was a reflection of my performing and dancing; deciding to leave standardized culture and get the classic eyeliner of a belly dancer tattooed."

The rest of the posted photos from Jessica's shoot are over on the Kickstarter project for backers of the project.
