gypsiequeen's harddrive failed today. Looks like a big, bad chunk of blocks in the middle of some important Windows files. Machine won't even successfully boot in safe mode without a bug-check--what a Blue Screen Of Death is actually called--and this caused lots of consternation. It would appear that dropping a drive that has been previously set up as a dynamic disk in another system without previously wiping it first is something of a no-no. Well, at least as far as Windows Vista setup is concerned anyway.
I'll be putting that theory to the test in the morning after file copies on this box have come to an end.
